Glacier Media's adjusted EBITDA increased to $8.2 million for the period ended March 31, 2016 compared to $6.9 million for the same period in the prior year, a gain of 19.0%. Both of the Company’s operating segments, business information and community media, experienced increases compared to the same period in the prior year.
In particular, Glacier FarmMedia, Real Estate Weekly, Specialty Technical Publishers, community media operations in Rhode Island and the Lower Mainland of B.C. and certain printing operations generated EBITDA gains. The impact of the global energy downturn continues to weigh negatively on Glacier’s energy-related products and services, in both business information and community media operating in Western Canada.
