REW, Canada’s premier real estate portal for property listings, new home developments and industry news, this week announced its new name – Real Estate Wire – and accompanying visual brand.

The rebrand reflects the portal’s goal to be the primary source for real estate search across Canada as well as the industry leader in the evolution of the property discovery experience.

The new name moves the portal away from its origin as Real Estate Weekly. The industry staple Real Estate Weekly newspaper remains in circulation throughout Metro Vancouver, British Columbia.

“Finding your next home should be straightforward and the search experience should be easy and rewarding,” said Allen Moon, REW’s VP and General Manager. “Our new name and logo reflect our commitment to educating buyers and sellers through information and insight – empowering all of our audiences to make more informed decisions.”

The new REW logo showcases a fresh look for the company. Two overlapping homes in wire frame represent the interchange of conversations, information and the exchange of property that takes place between buyers, sellers, agents and other real estate professionals.

The Real Estate Wire property portal is available at REW.ca. It focuses on creating a complete home search experience that goes beyond a simple website – empowering people to achieve their goals through industry insight as well as accurate, comprehensive property information.

In addition to searching by price, neighbourhood and keywords, the portal recently launched new property search features based on proximity to public and private schools as well as transportation networks.
